  • What are the signs my roof needs a new or replacement roof?

    Any signs of excessive water damage will be the first sign that small roof leak repairs won’t be enough. Significant moss and algae growth, missing or cracked shingles, bent metal panels, and pest infiltration are where replacing your roof will be the best option. Our roofers will let you know if repairs or a replacement roof should be completed when they assess your roof and provide you with your free roof inspection. 

  • Why consider a replacement roof?

    If your roof is starting to reach the end of its life, then roof repairs should be considered a “band-aid” fix. They might get you by for a few more years and a few maintenance services here and there... while replacing your whole roof will start the timer back at zero. Effectively giving you between 15 to 25 years worry-free, unless there is extreme weather damage or otherwise.  

  • How long does a roof last in Vancouver?

    Vancouver roofs see some extreme weather, heavy rain, hail and snow. They also experience issues with moss and vegetation, the corrosive effects of saltwater and sea spray, and our hot summers can bring excessive sun damage. With that being said, we use the best roofing materials for our area, allowing for an average lifespan of 15-25 years depending on the type of material you have installed on your roof. 

  • Do I need to re-sheet my roof deck during a roof replacement?

    It's recommended to start from the base structure of your roof – the plywood roof decking – to ensure no traces of mold, moisture, or pest damage are left behind. While it’s not always necessary, we will save what we can without compromising the health of your new replacement roof. Also important to note that some warranty packages will require you to re-sheet your roof deck. 

  • Do I need to replace the entire roof if I have a leak?

    No, it may not be required, however, it will depend on the number of leaks, the age of the roof, and the extent of the water damage caused by the roof leak. A leaky roof can be repaired without being replaced, but if multiple leaks or recurring leaks are happening, then we will usually recommend replacing the whole roof to save you money in the long run.
